Students In College

Crocker’s argument is that many students in school do not get the same opportunity as other “Left Brain” students. For example artists and people that are unique or they are categorized as individualists do not have the same opportunity and they get denied by their school and their teachers and by that they get discouraged. His audience is people that are struggling with school and have not figured out what they want and they are not getting the support they need to do what they love. He also makes an argument that school does not determine your life, I agree with him and it is somewhat true. His argument is very valid, there are many students that get discouraged by their professors and schools and also schools don’t really help the students to figure out what to do and help them what they want to pursue. But I did not have the same experience in my high school because they were way more helpful and I think it was because they were an art school and they mostly focusing on art, but we got the highest score in education in Los Angeles, so we were also strong in the educational part. My school tired to really help us to choose a path that best suet us and we love. I think that they should let students change their major whenever they want, but that means they have to stay longer. Because most of the colleges make you choose a major after two years and many of students haven’t figured out their major yet, or many schools do not help the art students to get anywhere. They are pretty much on their own and they have to figure out ways to go where they want. His argument does reach and apply to the education level at the universities, because it concerns their student’s life and careers, also the universities need to teach and let their faculties and professors now that they need to be encouraging and willing to help all their students and it should not matter what their major, race, or sexuality, because from Chris Crocker’s situation seemed like it was mostly about his sexual orientation, because he told the viewers that his professors were very religious and they were kind of discussed by him. The connection between his video and the article because they are both about how students struggle in college and what problems they face and how colleges do not really help them to resolve their problems. My high school does not feel that different from college because we got to choose the classes that we wanted and needed and we were pretty much as free as we are in college except the difference is my high school tried to help us to find our major and career and they did not give us dead lines and get so much money from us. The only changes I needed to make is that I have to be on top of things my self and my teachers in college only repeat things once and I have to remember it my self, unlike in high school they do not repeat them self’s 50 times. But I liked his video even though I am not really a fan, but I support what he is saying, because I have seen people going through the same situation and I am in there my self.

Sucker Punch

Sucker Punch was a very interesting movie; it was something I have never seen before. There are five girls in this movie, which they all team up and try to leave the place that they stuck in. They call it the asylum, but really they just use the girls there for their own business. The girl that plans the escape and gets everyone together is called Babydoll. She is a very innocent girl and sweet, but she is a very though girl and she is very smart. Sweet Pea and Rocket are sisters and Sweet Pea is older and she is always trying to protect Rocket and at first she disagreed with the whole plan because she thought that they will get caught and her sister would get hurt. Sweet Pea was kind of like the big dog in that place until Babydoll came and took over with her sweet attitude and innocent look. Rocket, is very tired of that place and she immediately agreed with the plan and she wants to get out of there as fast as possible. The others do not play as much major roll, except Blondie, which is ironic because she is not blond and I call her little snitch. But they all worked together to get far, but at the end Blondie snitched on them and they got caught. Babydoll did not give up and she set the place on fire and Sweet Pea was the only one that got away and they all died.

In this movie they show women very strong and smart. I do not see any sexism in this movie, but I guess it can be sexism because they use these girls for money and there Is this guy that is the head of the place and he is kind of like a pimp. He gets money by these girls dancing for his place. I guess that can be sexism, but I do not see major sexism in this movie. To me the girls were portrayed as strong and powerful and smart. Except Blondie because she gave up at the end and she told the main guy, this shows women can be strong and also can be weak. It all has to do with the person not the gender. It kind of shows that men are weak mentally at some parts because they show that men do not pay attention to their surroundings when women is teasing them or dancing very seductively in front of them. To me in that movie it showed bad things about men mostly, for example the stepfather that was trying to sleep with her sister and the main guy in that place. To me it showed man as being pigs and being very bad people. But it also showed that a man was the guide of Babydoll, her guide in her mind was a guy. It was kind off interesting because what I got was that they were saying that men are good only in women’s mind or in peoples imagination, like its to good to be true. But it showed man in a bad way and I do not see these things as being sexist. This movie showed women very powerful and strong.

Hunger WAR!!!!!!!!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNxb28j5C1w&ob=av3n

it looks really good and accurate for now, because we have not finished the book. But I was disappointed how Peeta looks like. He is this short boy that does not even look strong with fake blond hair. But Gale looked pretty accurate and same as Katness. But The trailer seems like what I have imagined, when I was reading the, book everything is very accurate for now.

and just for the fun:
